Choosing a child care provider is a big decision—you want your toddler to be nurtured and cared for as well as you would do yourself. Our Child Care programs offer environments that are safe and stimulating, and caring, supportive Infant Toddler Educators who understand what makes your child special.
Children are provided with vital learning opportunities, following the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, which helps children discover learning through creative play. Our curriculum aligns with the BC Ministry of Education's Early Learning Framework
This national play-based curriculum helps build capacity for lifelong learning and combines our decades of experience in child care delivery with the latest body of knowledge on how the brain develops and how children learn.
We know that kids need much more than just immediate family to grow up strong—our programs support families and provide young children with the care and support they need to reach their full potential.
Our Toddler programs follow a child to staff ratio of 1:4. Children spend time outside each day and are provided with healthy snacks.
The YMCA has child care centres throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and the Sunshine Coast. To join our wait-list, please review the locations in the schedule below, and click ‘Join our wait-list’ to submit your application.
