I’ve been a member of the Y since 2011 and have done most, if not all, of the fitness classes offered. Even with that, however, I’ve also always wanted to develop my fitness regime and do more. For instance, I’ve always wanted to try out the heavily male-occupied weight section but have never done so as I get intimidated by the machines, and the possible accidents that can occur since I didn’t know how to use them properly. I used to be envious of women who work out in this section with so much ease. Working with Tony allowed me to get over my feelings of awkwardness; I now frequent what used to be the most daunting part of the gym for me. He gave me the boost that I needed, in addition to a lot of understanding and direction on how to do my workouts properly. Tony listened to my needs and tailored my workouts. The result was positive and I’ve been getting a lot of compliments as I’ve lost 8 lbs. in 4 weeks and have gained noticeable muscles. Training with Tony was never intimidating; in fact, it was fun and challenging. If not for Tony, I would probably have been stuck doing my old gym routine.
