Whether it’s discovering their golf game, unleashing their adventurous side or reaching new heights, these seven specialty camps will help your kids develop new skills, build new friendships and create unforgettable memories that will last all summer long.

 



Outdoor Adventure Day Camp (5-12 years*) 
This action-packed camp provides participants with the opportunity to try out a variety of land- and water-based activities. From archery to ropes courses to canoeing, there’s something for every young adventure seeker. Although activities will vary depending on the location, no matter which camp your children attend, they will have a fantastic time reconnecting with the great outdoors.*Children must be turning six years old by December 31, 2017 to participate

Youth Leadership Camps (12-15 years)
The Y is passionate about helping kids reach their potential, which is why we’re excited about these three new camps: Change Your World Project, Counsellor-in-Training and Recreational Leadership. Whether it’s working with fellow campers on an impactful community project or gaining the knowledge needed to be a coach one day, these camps give kids the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills, build confidence and establish new friendships along the way.

Sailing Camp (11-14 years)
Where better to develop sailing skills than the serene Howe Sound? Campers receive three hours of daily instruction on topics such as rigging, wind dynamics and boat care from qualified instructors. Participants work on CANSail levels and participate in various camp activities.

The First Tee Golf Camp (6-17 years)
Perfect for any skill level, this camp connects kids with certified instructors who are passionate about teaching the fundamentals of this beautiful sport. Beyond the swing, The First Tee incorporates its life skills curriculum into each golf lesson, equipping campers with the tools needed to succeed both on and off the course.

*this location only offers half-day camps from 9am-12pm


Summer camp is a great way for kids to grow, experience new things and develop various skills that will help them in the future; and James' story is a powerful and inspiring reminder of why that is.
