The First Tee of Greater Vancouver YMCA Pro-Am Challenge presented by G&F Financial was a great success! Amateur golfers had the exciting opportunity to play 18 holes with some of Canada's premier golf professionals. Over 133 players enjoyed sun and fun on May 22nd at the Richmond Country Club.

We raised over $75,000 with the tremendous support from our sponsors and the community—the most raised in the nine-year history of the tournament. This will go a long way towards helping more kids through programming, community outreach, low-income subsidies and expansion of The First Tee program across the Lower Mainland.

The First Tee is much more than a golf program. Through this unique program, kids ages six to twelve learn how to set goals and build character while learning fundamental golf skills. It’s also a whole lot of fun for the kids!

The YMCA of Greater Vancouver's First Tee program serves more than 1,000 young people annually through our programming—a collaboration between The First Tee, Vancouver Parks Board and the Advisory Board of The First Tee of Greater Vancouver. And it's making a difference. The First Tee is having a positive impact on participants, their families and communities.

Some spots are still available for our summer sessions in July in August. For more information, read about our all-age YMCA speciality summer camps.
