Offered in partnership with BC Centre for Disease Control, The Food Skills for Families program is a ‘hands-on’, skill-building program developed by dietitians and educators. Participants learn how to make healthy meals and how to make healthier snack and beverage choices while gaining confidence in the kitchen. Programs run over the course of six weeks with one session taking place each week. Based on different needs, we are offering the following class options:

1. Food Skills for Families: Expectant Mothers & Parents with 0-5 year olds

Session: January 22 – February 26, 2020
Postpartum Pacific and Parenting Circles will join this class to share resources.

2. Food Skills for Families: Families with Family Support Worker

Session: January 23 – February 27, 2020
A Social Support Worker will attend on January 30 and February 27.

Childminding spaces are limited but available during session times.

While the program is free, registration is required. Please visit the Family Development Centre (FDC) desk or call 604-673-6180 to register.
