The Y at Rupert Park Pitch and Putt
Ages 6 to 17
Forrre! In this unique program, kids ages 6-17 learn how to set goals and build character while learning fundamental golf skills. Through the game of golf, kids also learn essential life skills and positive values have a whole lot of fun. Let’s face it—kids learn best when they’re having fun! Whether it’s learning to be honest while keeping score, perseverance when losing or good judgment while making a shot, lessons learned stick long after the program is over.
Classes are led by qualified coaches and help kids learn nine core values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment. Values like these transfer to other aspects of life and help youth achieve success in school, friendships and eventually in the workforce and their own families.
The First Tee of Greater Vancouver YMCA program is the only program to operate in Canada. To learn more about chapters in the US, please visit the First Tee website.
