Tong Louie Family YMCA

Grades 2 to 9

Come shoot some hoops with us! Our volunteer-driven league teaches kids the game of basketball with an emphasis on fun and teamwork. In partnership with Steve Nash Youth Basketball and Basketball BC, our league offers kids in grades 2-9 the chance to enjoy playing basketball in a recreational setting as no scores or standings are kept.  Girls-only teams are available for grades 6 to 9.

NOTE: all games and practices for this league run at various schools throughout Surrey and Delta. The administration and registration is handled through offices at the Tong Louie Family YMCA and Langara Family YMCA, but no games or practices run at these two facilities.

Volunteer Instructors Needed!

Volunteer with us and make a difference in the life of a child. All of our Steve Nash Youth Basketball teams are coached by volunteers.  Child protection is also very important to us – all teams have to have at least two volunteers in full compliance before the first practice. Training is provided free of charge from Basketball BC and you are also provided with manuals and resources through the Steve Nash Youth Basketball website. From coaches, assistant coaches, team managers or team parents, we need your help! Please note which position you are able to help with during registration.

Thank you to all of the dedicated volunteers who make our programs possible. We are a charity dedicated to strengthening the foundations of community, and you are a special part of making that happen! Email sportsleagues@gv.ymca.ca to volunteer
