Ages 10 to 18

You’ve got influence– why not use it for some good? Youth Leadership Development (YLD) helps you get to know yourself better, become a skilled leader and interact with a variety of people. Plus, you’ll make friends for life and have fun. Activities include team building, social events, volunteer opportunities, fundraising, training, special events and a youth conference weekend.

The program is open to youth in grades five to twelve and operates throughout the school year from September to June. Two-hour weekly sessions are offered at locations throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Sunshine Coast.

Try it free for two weeks!

The SFU Surrey-TD Community Engagement Centre (SFU CEC) is a YMCA of Greater Vancouver community partner that operates with generous funding from the TD Bank Group. The SFU CEC offers programming like the Y's Youth Leadership Development program. In partnership with community organizations, the SFU CEC focuses on supporting children, youth, and families and newcomers to Canada.
