The First Tee Mission

To impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.

Job Summary

Without caring mentors, positive youth development just doesn't happen.  At the First Tee, we take coaching seriously.  We believe that a meaningful, quality relationship between coach and participant is vital to our program.  Coaches are needed to support program delivery, skill development and active participant supervision.

Requirements

  • Interest in working with children and youth
  • Solid understanding of the rules and fundamentals of golf
  • Work with minimal supervision while cooperating with staff and other volunteers
  • Completion of volunteer documentation, child protection training and Criminal Record Check
  • First Aid and Coaching certification an asset
  • Commitment to a minum of one program session as outlined below:

After School Programming  - 1x weekly for a 5 week session
