Working with program and kitchen staff, the Kitchen and Food Program Assistant will have a variety of roles, including: supporting in meal preparation for Community Family Dinner night, working with parent volunteers in the kitchen teaching and facilitating basic cooking & kitchen skills and nutrition.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children and families is an asset
  • Experience, training, or knowledge in food preparation or nutrition
  • Completion of volunteer documentation, criminal record check, and references
  • Some knowledge of local community resources, supports, and services is an asset
  • Ability to commit long-term

Availability

Wednesday evenings 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

  • A current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date
  • Three references  (two of these should be professional references)
