November is a month filled with celebrations and special days! There are the more well-known days such as Remembrance Day and for our American neighbour’s Thanksgiving, but there are also lesser-known days such as Cook Something Bold Day, Cliché Day, or our favourite, National Child Day celebrated on November 20th each year!

Information Children Parent Coaching – This is a free Parent Coaching program open to parents and caregivers of children aged 0-12 years old. UBC researchers launch SmartParent, Canada’s first text-based parenting education program – SmartParent is an evidence-based text messaging program developed by maternal and child health experts that sends you information timed to your baby’s age to help support you as you care for your baby during the first year of life.
Parents can register by texting the keyword smartparent to 12424 or by signing up at smartparentcanada.ca.
SmartMom is also available for evidence-based information timed to your stage of pregnancy to help you achieve a healthy pregnancy and birth. Messages are tailored to gestational age and include links to websites, phone numbers and videos on topics such as fetal growth and development and more.
